Weird Issues with plugins with Fast Bounce disabled on X3 Producer
Hey everybody! I've been using SONAR for a long, LONG time, but only with my latest track have I experimented with using the External Insert plugin. Aside from known issues related to soloing busses with external inserts, it's been smooth sailing.
That is, until I went to export my track. I turned off Fast Bounce to export the project, and the result was major dropouts about a quarter way through the song on every single MIDI channel, leaving ONLY the audio information playing. Oddly, the intro drum loop played fine until the vocals came in.
I then tried turning off External Insert and doing an audible bounce with that off, in order to rule out the effects of External Insert. Here's the strange result [
EDIT: Link removed], with comical sounding synths, but at least with all of the MIDI parts intact.
If I change
nothing except for bypassing External Insert and doing a Fast Bounce, the track sounds perfect. Here's how it should sound [
EDIT: Link removed]!
For reference, here's a photo of my export settings. Note that the
ONLY setting I'm changing is Fast Bounce (and I've gotten the same error with Audible Bounce on AND off), and that the project is 48K/24-bit:

Finally, here are all of the plugins used in this project, in case that matters:
Synths:
3x Spire by Reveal Sound (output affected)
1x JP6K (output NOT affected)
3x Massive (output affected)
11x DropZone (output NOT affected)
FX (many instances of each):
FabFilter Pro-Q 2
FabFilter Pro-C
FabFilter Simplon
FabFilter Volcano 2
ValhallaRoom
Sonitus:fx Compressor
Sonitus:fx Gate
Classic Chorus by Kjaerhus Audio
Nomad Factory BT Stereo Imager
Melodyne Essential
TS-64 Transient Shaper
TL-64 Tube Leveler
Transpose (MIDI Effect)
External Insert (failed)
This is definitely a bummer because now I can't use my hardware gear as intended. Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers,
-Vince
