I just love your songwriting style, especially the vocals. I can hear a little high-up octave harmony with maybe a melodyne treatment to it? Mixed in really softly? pretty cool stuff! what are you doing up there? Is that Mrs Daryl?

I'd agree with the pizzicato strings coming down just a hair.

cheers, and write more songs please.
-Tom

Thanks a lot Tom - I really appreciate it.
The high harmony is me but the current Mrs Daryl1968 was helping me get to the high notes by using a pair of pliers on my private parts - I find it helps.

Great tune and an interesting topic. Made me wonder if you were referring to fluoride and
mind control. Or perhaps someone really did slip you a micky.

The production was very good and cheerful. I think Acid Polka is just the right style.

I like your song and the production is slick. There are plenty of suggestions here for tweaking the mix, but you've done a fine job with it already. Tweaking might make it "better," or worse. Who knows? I'd mark it finished.

If your Soundcloud tags give a clue to the meaning of this song, you might not know that water fluoridation was a big hoo ha in this country in the 1950s and 60s. Many right wingers thought it was a communist conspiracy and fought mightily in the press and water district board meetings throughout the land to stop it. I think it is a nearly universal practice now, which may be why there's a segment of our society which seems to be crazy.

The thing I enjoy about your tunes is you have a very distinct sound, lyrics that are usually funny or have a twist.

Productions point have already been raised so thanks for sharing good stuff.

Cheers Wookiee. Appreciate it

Great lyrics...  loved it!  Production-wise it's exactly what I'd expect from you so need to comment.
I also have to agree with Lynn - "You have a knack for writing good, melodic tunes that fit your voice like a glove".   Everything you do always sounds like it's perfectly suited for your vocal range and style.

Wow. Thanks a lot Steve ☺

Sounds pretty good to me, nice mix.  I agree the hats/shaker sound could be curbed a little with a Lowpass or drop in volume to leave a little more room for the vocal.  my only other Crti. is in the verses I found the synth pad that is shadowing the vocal melody a little distracting.  Sounded like an odd vocal effect at 1st, then I realized it was a synth.   Take it or leave it.  That's my 2 cents!  Nice work though!

Thanks Larry. Water fluoridation is still a major issue. I buy bottled spring water which I hate as all that plastic doesn't help the planet.
