Voting Booth for New Ideas

There's so many ideas posted, I don't see how even 1% of them can be addressed. Like me, some users may question whether CW truly has time to consider them (yeah, I know they are reviewed).

With that said, some ideas may not apply, or may be revolutionary enough to warrant secrecy, but other, smaller ideas may not. Those not so secret ideas being considered might warrant voting for.

Is there a way to post Cakewalk pre-selected ideas into a new channel called, Voting Booth, eliminate comments, and only allow voting on the ideas that appear?

    that would be nice ...

a short list of those ideas that Cakewalk considers for implementation and might be tackled in the near future - plus a "voting booth" with a "score board" i.e. to see what is currently the top scoring request ...

of course, one vote per user only - and limited to those with active subscription to keep the trolls out.

How about a save under the metronome setting in preference's.  I have to reset the Record count in, on every project along with the instrument that I want to play the beats. Am I missing something? If not this would save time to be able to save your setting in the preference's tabs.

The bakers are probably too busy for this kind of stuff.  I'll be happy to grind out a short list on their behalf

I agree, doing requests with regular forum threads has some real shortcomings; a lot of great things have been suggested in the past, but unless someone does a search with the right keyword, they're just going to create a new thread and garner a couple of new votes - not enough to break into the "top 10" or whatever. There's also a question of etiquette that then arises - I suggested a few things months ago that got a few votes, but I think some people just plain didn't see them, or had suggested a variation on a similar theme. I don't want to be one of those people that just 'bumps' things or makes multiples of the same suggestion, but I do wish that suggestions didn't just fade away down the list before they can really be discussed.

Some kind of tags/taxonomy would be really helpful - group things by "audio performance", "MIDI editing", "Timeline Improvements" etc. That might be doable with the existing software, actually, and would give users a way to organize and navigate ideas as they're suggested.

Or, I wonder if the bakers have considered something like Get Satisfaction? It has a pretty decent search/feature request functionality built into it.

And part of my point here is, as I have made some really high-order requests in the past few years, at some point, there has to be a cutoff for Cakewalk Development or Product Owners before they say, "Ok, I think we've gone back far enough looking for feature ideas." At what point does a long-term feature request become graveyard material, never to be looked upon again?

For example, with Windows8, Sonar introduced "touch". Not much has been done since then, but I made a huge suggestion of how to rock a long-term future for the DAW. I'm talking jaws dropping at 'NAMM in a very major way! Unfortunately, I can't even find that thread anymore, and one could only speculate whether that idea was even considered.

    Gibson, you should take note...
What I saw of Sonar at the 2015 Summer 'NAMM was barely a mention. It was totally foreshadowed by Gibson's new Les Paul studio monitors. If you didn't recognize Sonar's interface or have any knowledge of Gibson's purchase of Sonar, you'd just pass the DAW off as merely some random choice to show off the new Les Paul speakers. I probably walked by their booth several times before I even noticed the tiny Sonar desk there.
