ACT fader problems

Hi everyone.

Forgive me if this seems like a newb issue: I'm having an annoying problem with ACT. I'm using a Zoom R24 as a controller which works normally using it's own Sonar Plugin or when using it as a Cakewalk Generic Surface. However when I use it in ACT, to try and set up a more intuitive (to me) system of doing things, it doesn't register the fader if it goes beyond 0db. I hope I've explained this correctly?

The only reason I want to use ACT for this is that I can't find any other way of making the Zoom R24 control the busses instead of tracks besides manually setting up remote control on every track I want to use it on. It will, however, go beyond 0db if I select the particular fader I want to use and then do it via the remote control method, but this is a tad tedious...

Strange.

Any thoughts?

Luke

(Guess only) What ACT/Generic surface can register correctly depends in which DAW mode R24 is configured. For example for Mackie faders should send PitchBend, for other they can send CC7/CC14 and so on.

For not native R24 plug-in I would recommend the simplest mode (CC 7bit) if that is available (the documentation has no details about that).

If you have time and you want configure R24 to do specific tasks or simply understand ACT plug-in features and limitations, check my site (see the signature).

    Hi there!

I downloaded and installed your plugin for Sonar and eventually (after a few thousand years) got everything working. Thank you so much for your great work!

Funnily Enough the R24 works under the Mack.. Control preset which makes sense since I read somewhere that the R24 uses Mackie Control emulation. I just had to set the faders to bus instead of tracks and it works great.

    Thank you once again.
