Will EZ Drummer midi loops work with session drummer?

That's the question,  anything special about the midi file  that would not play with session drummer 2?

They are normal MIDI files. Nothing special. This is a sample file that may or may not be taken from the Nashville EZX.

Assuming the mapping matches. It's more like a rule nowadays that different drum softwares have more or less their own key mappings, so a drum map may be necessary.

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.
The benefit of being a middle aged amateur is the low number of years of frustration ahead of you.

Thanks for the feedback, for now I'm going to stick with AD2 and learn to modify and make patterns ( when i have time)

Aren't EZdrummer and Session Drummer pretty much general midi compliant?

To clarify my earlier post. You can use Toontrack EZdrummer MIDI grooves in Session Drummer. They load and play with no problem. I just loaded a half dozen random grooves from different EZX Libraries into Session Drummer 3. Played perfectly.

Sorry for the delay in responding.  Like I mentioned above, for the sake of time, I went into Addictive drums, I guess because of the number of loops that was provided - or that I was able to find ( even though most of them are "over played" for what I need.  (unless I'm missing something with the other resident programs in Sonar X3 Pro and soon to load Platinum. )

The drums sound nice on AD2 but the program has bells and whistles that I'll most likely never use for my specific needs ( at the moment ).

Having been outpaced by the technology here from when I started out, I need to do more research on what goes on with these  drum programs and the sounds they produce ( or how to set them up since it's obviously a midi type trigger that drives the drum's sound of the program  (the audio sample ) and just how that might be affecting any timing issues with existing midi or other audio, etc.

Thanks for all the info on the Drum files!

If you want to use midi grooves / loops from one drum product to another drum product, you can use Toontracks Ezplayer Pro  -I have been using it for years and it works very well

If you are looking for MIDI drum loops Groovemonkee,
http://groovemonkee.com/
has some good ones.  Plus are available in many different drum maps.

I hope this helped.

The reason people say the vinyl sounds better is because the music was better.
