Platinum will not start with Tascam iUR2 connected

I have a Tascam iUR2 that I bought to use with an iPad.  I wanted to test it on a PC with Sonar.  I connected it to a Win 10 Laptop and it was detected and recognized by Windows.  However, when I try to start Sonar, I get a message about no compatible devices found and then Sonar aborts.  I disconnect the iUR2 from the PC and Sonar starts and operates normally.

According to the Tascam site, it supports WDM so I would have thought Sonar would not have a problem.

Yes, but if the last time you used Sonar was with ASIO then (and here i'm grasping at straws so this is just a suggestion) why not try changing to WDM drivers for your normal sound device, closing Sonar, then connecting your i thingy and re-starting Sonar.

That may work as logic dictates it will be expecting to find a WDM device.

Or have i really missed the bus ?

    Cheers

I'll give that a try but I don't think that is the issue.  I've seen times where Sonar would recognize either WDM or ASIO, didn't have to specifically have use one or the other.

Having used a WDM connected device didn't work.  Back to square 1.
