Looking for a good sfz

Besides what comes loaded with Sonar........what are some good synths to have? I'm looking for some classic synth sounds like the Tom Sawyer, Subdivisions, Jump and a good Hammond B3 for instance. Suggestions?

I will investigate. Looking for that Jon Lord Deep Purple sound. Question, when I have a synth loaded.....where would I add an effect such as distortion or an amp sim? He ran his B3 through a Marshall.

Then run any good B-3 thru a Marshall VST. Amplitube comes to mind.

Would I insert the amp sim into the synth bus or midi track?

To the audio output track, bus or not. Audio FX don't work on MIDI tracks.

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.

I know this isn't quite on point but I finally bit the bullet and bought the NI Vintage Organ.  I couldn't find an sfz that suited.  So far so good, it is very versatile.

If you are looking for synth sounds you are probably better off working with a a synth emulation rather than using samples. The Tom Sawyer sound could be russeled up on the free OBXD for example.

Of the Cakewalk synths Pentagon, Z3ta and Rapture can all be programed to give an amazong varity of sound. Find a preset that's close and start tweaking.
