Sounds great on my awful laptop, that's a real achievement. Looking forward to hearing this on proper equipment. I love mrs. d's voice, lots of character, and it works well over this cool arrangement. Thanks for posting this and looking forward to hearing more from this cast.

Thanks a lot Kevin.

I love it! Great re-imagining and the instruments and percussion are inspired!

And her vocals are fab!  What a range!

(I've read a bit about harshness in the Vox, I'm picking that up too.)

Creative all around!

Sounds really good. The only thing I would change in the in accordion or farfisa track I would automate the volume so that each chord builds a little in the middle so that it breaths a bit.

I does feel a little slow as mentioned but I like it at this tempo.

Cheers Tom

Daryl,

Really cool arrangement and overall production.  The mix is really good as well.   Nice mix of musical and personal styles, I hear some Gypsy Jazz in there too.

Yeah...I actually like this version much better than the original.

Nicely done.  And I agree with the folks who used the word "inspired"....

The production is clear yet really punchy, as per usual.  But the arrangement is soooo cool - it made me laugh at times because it's so completely unexpected and off the wall.  Loved it.

Can't get enough of this one. With covers and rearrangements of our old tunes becoming popular again. I think this one has real "gone viral" potential.

I heard the original of this song when I was a kid. Really wasn't sure what to expect. Nice cover--very different. I like it when people put a new spin on covers. And the girl singing does a fantastic job. I'm sure this song isn't that easy to sing, but she held her own. Thanks for posting it. - Sean

Hi, Daryl,

Very cool laidback version of an old 70's classic with a unique arrangement, great vocals and instrumental performances and a nice clean, wide mix!

With my last cover band we actually did a really heavy, rocked up version of this along with "One Way Or Another" and "Heart Of Glass", and the crowds used to go wild.  LOL, Most of the people were kids in their twenties and probably never even realized the three songs were almost 40 years old!

Excellent work by Yourself, Ed and of course the current Mrs.!  She's got a great voice!

Best Wishes,
Bob
