Z3Ta+ reinstall issue

Trying to reinstall ( everything ) Z3Ta+ after a C drive crash

As the scanner in Sonar6 is scanning,
it says theres a bunch of bitmaps and waves missing, and it screws up the rest of the scanning of VSTI's

I reinstalled it on a fresh XP SP2 install, on a new fresh drive

ADDED: after initial install, The Zeta runs, but as 1.4.1.

THis occurrs after updating to 1.5.1, using the updater ( from May 07 IIRC)
This machine is not connected to the internet, FWIW

The 'bitmap not found' error is generally caused by moving the dll file after installation, or by having multiple copies of those (z3ta+.dll, z3ta+_fx.dll, z3ta+_fx2.dll) in different folders.

My suggestion would be to 1) Uninstall, 2) search and delete every z3ta+*.dll you can find in your system, 3) Install and point the installer to your folder, 4) Do *not* make copies of the dll file, or move it to other folders. Run the installer again instead.

This is a very old post but I had to re-install windows and  this is happening to me now in 2015.    I can't recall where I got the install from. Which version of Sonar was it in. And,   I think purchased Z3TA 2.   It doesn't show up anymore on My products in Command Center. Where can I get that original product from to download again?

I don't remember if if purchased it outright,   or if it was included in a version of Sonar. (I bought every single one since 1995).  I know I did not get a hard copy disk.  It doesn't appear in my account. I know I had it.  I "think" it was installed originally in 2010 or 2011, so I can't remember. But no. It doesn't appear in my account.  My e-mail was changed but I updated that immediately and everything else is on my account. Looks like I'll have to contact Cakewalk.

Z3TA+2 was part of the X1 Production Suite bundle but it still had a separate installer. If you do not see the installer in your account use https://www.cakewalk.com/My-Account/Feedback to notify Cakewalk of the missing installer.

IDK, I bought the download version of the X1 Production Suite. I would think it would be on a separate disc if it was ever shipped on a disc. I doubt Cakewalk would have made a special run of X1 discs to include z3ta+2.

I found it. I re-installed it. It was amongst the products in the Sonar Platinum instruments collection.

But I keep getting these ERROR dialog boxes which are a real pain to get rid of. I get the error when I try to insert or bring up Z3TA in a Sonar project : Error loading bitmap Bitmap resource not found. I get this error referencing just about every bitmap picture or graphic used in the interaface. i.e knobs, switches.  Son therer are about 70 or 80 little boxes that jump up each time I click OK or  try to click x on the top right of the dialog box. I'm going to uninstall and delete all references to Z3TA and try again.

z3ta+ classic is bundled with SONAR Platinum. I thought you were looking for z3ta+2.

Oh, you're right. I'll have to look elsewhere.   but I know I had Z3ta +2.  I guess that's somewhere else.
Meantime I keep getting that error.  I'm about to re-install after deleting all of it. Z3TA folders and  VST files as well.

Yep, you're right. Wrong Z3TA.  However that error message disappeared. So, that's 1 for 2 so far. I'll look at my old Sonar products.. I remember it was also a stand alone product as well as a VST plug-in.

I am not sure z3ta+2 was ever delivered on disc. Since you had z3ta+ classic, you either bought the upgrade or got it with the X1 Production Suite (if you bought that package). As mentioned earlier, if the download link is not in your account https://www.cakewalk.com/My-Account/Products in the "Other Products" section, it is likely due to registering the product using a different email address. You will need to contact Cakewalk to get the product added back to your account.

No, the synth has never been part of SONAR. It was one of the plug-ins included in the SONAR X1 Production Suite. The Production Suite came with a copy SONAR X1 Producer Expanded. However the synth along with the other items which made up the Production Suite were not part of the SONAR X1 Producer Expanded.

Well I'm real confused because I know I had it at that time. Sonar X1 Expanded shows up. But I don't see "Production suite" As a matter of fact I don't see that offered at all other than with Sonar X1 Expanded, which I have. Oh well. I'll contact Cakewalk.

It ain't that big of a deal but I liked it because my Guitar midi controller software works great  with those patches. The tracking and response is perfect.  Midi guitar by Jam origin.

Thanks for all your help. I spent most of the day going through,  and installing all kinds of old software. Time to move on.

Hey Brad, just wanted to clarify (and hopefully you've already gotten this answer from Support) that yes, Z3TA+ 2 is a separate download that you'll need to get from your account page (it's not a connected product).

Yes, they got back to me.  some downloads didn't show. They are now showing. I'm all up and running. Thanks so much for your help. You guys are the reason I've been using Sonar and Pro Audio before that for more than 20 years.
