Jamaica-Playlist still not fixed CWBRN-32201, CWBRN-32798 Kingston mentions a fix

I keep waiting with baited breath on each update for the playlist to be usable like it was in the "Cambridge" edition. But alas it has been broken since "Dorchester." The way it loads songs takes way too much time in a live time intensive production. Plus there is no visible scrolling line as the "playlist" keeps robbing priority. The first and last song in the playlist work flawlessly. The rest of them have the problem. This lack of fix has caused us to start experimenting with Apple's Q-Lab. In fact we're now running our current show with it instead of Sonar. This breaks my heart because I LOVE Sonar and hate Apple stuff. If the playlist were polished up just a bit, Sonar could be an amazing tool for Live Productions. It's run our shows since the 90's. It feels like the end of an era.

Just for the purpose of running your live show why don't you revert that installation back Cambridgel. I know it's not a fix but it will allow you stay with Sonar. Perhaps there's not many of the new features that you need to run your show.

Are you doing any editing while running play list? If yes could the play list enable button be hard wired on and off till you finish recording the tracks and turned on before the next song?

Thanks for your input. Yes I have been using Cambridge but it has been crashing occasionally and my tech guys are wanting more stability. They are the one's experimenting with Q-Lab. I've been hoping that each iteration of Sonar is getting more and more stable and if the playlist worked like it needs to in a live situation maybe "Jamaica" is the solid one that we need. I got a thought that I might try. And that would be reverting back to an even earlier version. Still here though hoping for a fix in the next version.

Looks like "Kingston" has a fix for the Playlist. Hope it's the one I've been waiting for.

From the look of the FIX list it sounds like the speed issue is fixed. Now if the scrolling timeline is visible in all of the songs while using the playlist then it will be an awesome fix indeed!
