Although I've had this plugin within my SilverLine Bundle, I've never used it enough to really know it's capabilities. However, Toraverb, Syntorus, and Fazortan do get regular use (excellent plugins BTW)....wish they would update this older gui.

I wonder why D16 chose to update Devastor instead of one of the other 3 (more useful IMO)?

Here’s what you can expect from Devastor 2:
    • New preset browser based on tags (like in Antresol)
    • GUI resize option
    • Revamped plug-in setup
    • New signal routing selector that replaces the Pre/Post-filter switches
    • Built-in limiter
    • Revamped filter model
    • Improved dynamics
A special price will be available for version 1 users and the upgrade will be free if you purchased v1 in the last 6 months prior to v2 release. It will be available in VST, AU, AAX and Rack Extension formats for Mac OS X and Windows.

Backwoods has made the same mistake I've made ever since I bought the entire D16 fx line in a no brainer sale a couple of years ago.  Until I got the upgrade email a few days ago I would have sworn it was "DEVASTATOR"...but, of course, it's not...it's DEVASTOR.  That's just our poor little pea brains seeking patterns and filling in the blanks.

    Will definitely upgrade...10 or so bucks...welcome, DEVASTOR2.

Question for those who've already got it: what do they mean by "resize option"?

A choice of small, medium, large and won't-fit-on-your-screen like Kontakt, or continuously-resizable like Melda?

there's small (like the original size) and big (about twice the size) options, both of which fit on my lappy screen, the bigger is better imo

Anybody notice they're charging more if you buy it in dollars? The regular 39 EUR price shows up as $49 (actual exchange: $43) and the upgrade shows up as $11.90 (actual exchange $9.92). Do they have something against Americans?

Turns out it was never completed at PayPal...so I'm waiting on D16s reply as to whether I can still pick it up at the upgrade price. Bit is also correct...they aren't using current exchange rates to dollars.

After reading the VAT thread in the Deals forum, I'm now convinced that what they're doing is adding VAT before applying the exchange rate calculation. Nice little scam. Not that it makes much difference on the 9 EUR upgrade price, but I hope the practice doesn't catch on more broadly - the current exchange rate has been making European products much more attractive, especially compared to UK products.

Well, I set aside my resentment at paying $1.50 more than my European brethren and went for the upgrade.

Very happy. The larger UI means I can now  use it without a screen magnifier. Recommended for anyone wanting to add some cut-through crispness to drums and percussion, be it subtle or nasty.

I think I will hold off because like others here I got the suite cheap and presume they will be upgrading the whole lot and I'll update then.

It's 11 bucks, backwoods. And well worth it -- that is, if you use Devastor. TBH, I hadn't used it at all until I got this update. Now I'm trying it on everything.
