[Solved] User error! Midi tracks - removing vertical lines from clips?

I cannot recall how I remove the vertical lines from recorded MIDI tracks in the clips view? I have all the options set to off in the Views/Options/Tracks/Clips/MIDI tabs, but it doesn't seem to make any difference.
 
It was Controller 88 messages coming from my keyboard - DUH! Not velocity lines.
