X3 to Platinum

I read in a non-cake forum that some users have received email offering X3 to Platinum upgrade at $99 thru end of October. I have X3, but didn't get the email. Anyone know if there's a public discount code, or any other way to claim the discount? Also, second question: do I understand correctly that when you start a Platinum subscription, all prior monthly upgrades are included?

Thanks, Ron

Either contact Cakewalk Customer Service http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/2090582 or check out resellers. For example JRRShop currently carries the upgrade for $99.

Purchasing now will get the current version of SONAR Platinum which contains all the updates to date and the next 12 months of updates. Only the exclusive content released before your membership date will not be included.

If you log into your account, select the upgrade from the store and proceed to checkout (without completing it) I'd imagine any sale price you qualify for will be revealed (and if you are logged in the store may just show the sale price anyway for you).

And yes you get "everything" as far as the core program BUT there are certain one off monthly freebies that do not get included. I don't know if there is a list of those one offs somewhere but anything listed in the "compare versions" section of the store will be included.

True, the promotional price might be shown in the Cakewalk Store. If the store does not show the promotion and you have X3 Producer listed in https://www.cakewalk.com/My-Account/Products contact Customer Service or shop the resellers. If you do not have X3 Producer listed in your account, contact support or fill out https://www.cakewalk.com/My-Account/Feedback to get it back in your account.

Just a quick bump thanks to you guys.  Installation appears to have gone smoothly.  Promotion not mentioned in the store, but phone call to support supplied the promotional code (X3P => Plat.)  It doesn't appear to be a secret, but since I'm not sure, I won't mention it here.  Anyone interested can get it from support (or maybe it was in the email promo - which I didn't get).

Tip: In the CCC, there's a bunch of stuff indented from the Platinum install itself, so I figured by highlighting the latter, all the others would install automatically.  Not so - they gotta be chosen individually.  Also, when going through the AD2 install, it's not obvious from the XLN online installer, but you gotta put in the AD2 serial number before you'll be presented with the options to choose the goodies that are bundled with the Plat install.

Question: Has DimPro or Rapture changed since X3E?  I'd rather not duplicate the prior installs (which is why I didn't choose the "install all" option in the CCC).

    Thanks again.  -Ron

Nope. Not unless you went out of your way to buy Rapture Pro. There might be some new patch bank stuff for DP and Rpature though but that's separate from the actual instrument installers.

As far as the XLN/AD2 stuff... all downloads and installation of that needs to be done thrugh the XLN site. Cake only provides you with the serial numbers and whatnot to access your downloads from XLN.

    Cheers.
