Some creative de-reverberation and gating will probably be called for. Simply because the camera's microphone is so far away from the source the biggest issue will be crowd and room sounds. Of course, if it was a dead room and a loud band, these will be less of a problem.
There are tools for removing excessive reverberation, but they're expensive. iZotope RX and Zynaptic Unveil are the big ones. SPL De-verb is cheap, but I don't know much about it.
On the cheap, you may be able to get away with careful use of a multi-band compressor. The one you have in Ozone 4 is a good place to start.
I'd be very cautious about using Ozone's limiter to boost volume, though. Be sure to do A/B comparisons as you go, listening to the limiter being in and out (and volume-compensated) to make sure it's really helping. The camera probably has an AGC and/or limiter built into it, so you don't want to be fighting that.
All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.
