VST Upsample Question (I feel like a newbie...)
Hi Folks -
Finally had a chance to mess with the upsample in Jamaica. I think I am probably doing some thing wrong but here it is -
I get the "upsample on render" and "upsample on playback" on the actual VST. However my UAD plugs don't have that option but I assume that is because the plugs are processed on the UAD hardware ?
When I start playing my project with the upsampled vsts I really don't hear that much of a difference until I press the "2X" button (and light it up) and I see that my CPU's are being hit harder and the overall volume seems to increase a bit and I DO hear a difference. However from what I've read, pressing and lighting up the "2X" button is supposed to disable upsampling ? However the behaviors I'm seeing seems to be backwards to that.
Am I confused or just in need of coffee ?
Thx everyone !

Upsampling is only active when the 2X button is lit. You need to also enable it at the plugin level from the drop down menu in the top left corner of the plugin window.

Big thanks Noel !!!
And you've validated that in fact I was very much in need of coffee as well as completely misunderstanding the "2X" button :)
