Poulin Plugins and ACT

Anyone have an idea how to program the "switch" kind of parameters, found specifically on the Poulin Lextac amp sim, to be controlled by the buttons on a midi controller?

I've got all the knobs working, but when it comes to the channels gain structure, pre eq, boost, routing and quality switches I can not get them to program the buttons on my midi controller.  I followed the steps of turning on the ACT button then clicking on the switch of the amp sim then hitting the corresponding button I wanted to control, and nothing happens.  Even after I turn act off.
Hope this is the right spot for this type of question.  Thanks!

ACT learning has (too) many bugs at the moment.

Probably easier just to create automation lanes for them and use Remote Control to assign controllers to them with MIDI learn. Presuming you can find the parameters in question in the automation list, right click on the automation lane fader and select "Remote Control."

    ACT is useless.

Than you should agree that big parts of Automap, AKAI Advance, NI Kontrol and Novation InControl are also useless. All of them at the end map VST Automation Parameters to some Hardware controls. Compare to these other solutions, there is just "small incontinence" in ACT initial setup

Yeah if I can map a control to an automation envelope then I'm pretty much done. I'm not looking to perform live or anything like that, and I have pretty simple control needs for recording, i.e. at the most I'll be tweaking a cutoff, resonance and decay of a synth at the same time, or a couple of controls on an effect. I really have no interest in having my controller's faders mapped to Sonar's mix controls like volume, pan etc, and I don't even need to use the transport controls on my A-800. So between the user controls on the synth rack and the automation envelopes, both controllable with Remote Control, I'm covered.
