Notation: Staff line thickness

I searched the forum but can't find an answer to this:
When printing staff notation parts, the staff lines are so thin they are almost invisible, and basically useless no matter what notation size I choose. Is there any way to control the thickness of staff lines?  I've searched but find nothing.

Thanks.
Dave

That doesn't work for me (unless I'm just missing something).  It changes note and staff sizes, but staff lines, stems, and bar lines remain almost invisible because they are so thin.

The only thing that sort of worked was to go into my print driver itself and change the print resolution from 600 dpi to 300 dpi, which basically doubles the line thickness.

    Thanks very much.

You might consider an inexpensive notation program. Notion, Finale Print Music, etc. In the $100-150 range. Export from Sonar and you're on your way.

Actually I do use Finale regularly. I was interested in Sonar's notation because I was impressed with its ability to configure a good dual staff rendering from a single midi line.

Did anyone ever have a solution to this?
I'm going to try the printer DPI suggestion - good idea.
But I agree - I print my staves out and I can't read the music. I've been going over them with a felt-tip pen... not recommended :)
I keep thinking I've missed a setting and they can't have seriously intended the stems and tie-lines etc to be essentially invisible!

@DaveWWW - thanks for the tip. I found my printer bottoms out at 600 x 600, but printing to PDF I could do 72 dpi... then print from there to the printer - suddenly I can see the music ... works a treat!
