Wrong VSTi opens

I sometimes will select "Massive", and "FM8" will open instead. The workaround is to remove the vsti from my saved instruments list and re-add it in the plug in utility.
 
I know the common solution for this is to reset and rescan all the plugins, but I've already done this twice after the last upgrade and after working hard on it for a week, this started happening. Help.
