Very nice song. Moody and lyrical. On my speakers the rain effect sounds more like static. : ( But good song.

This reminds me of a George Winston piece, moody and introspective, it's very nice. You know, I get what you're trying to accomplish with the rain sounds but it does sound like static more than anything else. Have you considered just letting the music speak for itself? :)

I like this Kane - nice and mysterious - I was listening on crappy speakers so will not comment on the mix and rain thing - I'll have another listen later

Lovely piece. Ear candy. I'd vote for loose the static, rain too though.

I thought the rain was static as well. Move it back and give it some reverb and some rumbles of thunder here and there. Nice work!

Thanks for the listen Mike. Could have been better but I dared to try this one out of my inclination for theme oriented soundtracks. Thanks for your comments. Regards, Kane kevinwal

Kevin, thanks for the listen and your comments. The rain part was deliberate but I guess I could not make it sound as I wanted. I did listen to George Winston's Winter. Its really beautiful and inspiring. Grant, thanks for the listen and your feedback. I did give it a couple of hear muting the rain track but it felt like a bit incomplete and deviation from what I thought about it to be at the outset. Robert, thanks for the listen and your feedback to make it sound better. I did think of adding some mild thunder effects. Will look out for some. Very nice, moody piece. Mysterious and beautiful at the same time. +1 on the rain. It does sound kind of like static. Perhaps a different sample and place back in the sound stage? Nice job though!

Very nice Kane.....enjoyed the melody and it does fit well for a mystery movie soundtrack. The end just cuts off.....might be good to have a nice loooooong fade on this. Well done on the tune!!

Good one Kane! Like the moody feeling with the oriental harmonics, reminds me of Gollums song.

Mesh, thanks for the listen and your comments and feedback. The only reason I did not use a fade out end as I thought it would have given the track a 'resolved' end to its storyline, So, I left it a little abrupt and unexplained. Regards, Kane

Ahhh, I see (said the blind man....) in that case, it works well!! Which synths did you use on this?

Nice tune... it definitely has the right "rainy day" vibe for me. Mix-wise, rolling of the highs and adding some verb to the rain might help removing some of the static-y tone (or locate a different sample). But I would also try setting the piano back just a little too for a bit more ambiance.

Steve, thanks for the listen and your comments and feedback. I thought of giving it a 'raining outside' effect with some verb effects but I guess I was a little obsessed with the idea of dragging the subject out of that imaginary ill-lighted small coffee shop and make him walk down the dark street For the piano part, I did use some greasy effects to make it sound a little flat. Your points noted. Thanks and Regards,Kane
