Some "truth" about mixing / plugins ( podcast / rant ) !

Another, hopefully useful or at least entertaining, podcast/rant,
this time few words on the marketing **** that we see way
to often when a new plugin comes out, whether is a compressor, and equalizer, a saturator, a limiter you always hear
"This plugin will make your mix sound like a record".
Well, not quite. Marketing is marketing and we should take it for what it is, but young mixers can be easily influenced
and think that mixing will come easy once you have all the latest plugins available, which takes away from what's important: learning how to mix and improve your mixing skills.

It's what you get here in Arizona if you p-off Sheriff Joe and get to spend some time wearing pink in his tent city jail.

Irony: on this link's page, YouTube recommends "Three Plugins You Must Have".

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

For me, the irony is always in seeing guys starting out who insist that you don't need 3rd party plug-ins. As they gather an audience and build a following, manufacturers start to take notice, and soon enough, they're basically doing promo work for hardware and software...

"You don't NEED this plug-in, it makes no difference in the end - but, it really makes all the difference and you should definitely buy it if you are interested in taking your mix to the next level - I know I'll be using it on all my mixes.

Thank you all for watching (thus making it possible for me to get all that cool free stuff)."
