MIDI Learning broken for buttons only?

Hello,

I successfully got ACT to learn the midi rotaries and sliders, but cannot get it to learn any of the buttons. On the controller/surfaces properties dialog box, if I click on the "cell" in rotaries or sliders, the ACT module displays "MIDI learn..." and all is good, but if I click on the button "cells," nothing happens. I can change their labels, change their assigned function, but cannot map my actual midi controller buttons to the cell (e.g., play, record, etc.). I double-checked the instructions, and it indicates that I can get buttons to learn. I restarted Sonar, tried to load other presets, etc.

Can anyone else verify that this is a bug in version X3e? I would attach a screen shot, but this forum's upload-image function seems broken.

After further poking around, I found that the users must click on the bottom of the two button cells and not the top cell. Apparently, the bottom cell is the "shift" modified version of the same button above it, but only the bottom cell responds to the mouse-click for MIDI learning. Just FYI in case others come across this.

Note that what you describe is "MIDI Learning" in "ACT MIDI" plug-in.

There is "ACT Learning" in the same and other plug-ins, which is completely different topic.

Thanks... I changed the title to avoid confusion.
