Is my Roland SI-24 all washed up?
Hi guys, I've used my trusty Roland SI-24 with an R-Bus cable and the RPC-1 card for all my audio in/outs and as a midi-controller since first getting into recording just over 10 years ago. After putting it off for some time, I've finally decided to upgrade from Windows XP/Sonar 8 Producer to Windows 10(32 bit)/Sonar X3 Platinum so that I can run EZdrummer 2 (which looks super-cool!)... But, it seems now that there are no drivers to support the RPC-1 card in existence for Windows 10. Google searches tend to lead me to deceptively designed websites for 'all-in-one' driver update programs which look dubious at best... Has anyone gotten RPC-1 card to work on a Windows 10 system? I'm not sure I'm ready to put that trusty SI-24 out to pasture just yet! Any advice here would be appreciated! Regards, Darren

RPC-1(m-audio) and SI24( roland) have quite the same drivers....RPC-1 working under W7. The SI24 will work under WIN8 64 bit with the latest driver from Maudio. Midi connection will be lost. You need to connect the SI-24 over the midi connectors (simple midi to usb adapter)

from Roland support:SI-24, RPC-1 - WHAT WINDOWS AND MAC SYSTEMS ARE COMPATIBLE?Tags: compatible, os, system, driver, windows, computer, mac, interface, osx In order for the SI-24 to be connected to a computer, an RPC-1 PCI card would need to be installed onto a computer and the SI-24 would connect to the RPC-1 via an R-BUS cable. These products have been out of production for some time. Computer system compatibility will depend on the driver for the RPC-1 card. Drivers for the RPC-1 card were designed by M-Audio years ago. You may download the legacy drivers for the RPC-1 card by clicking on the link below: M-Audio Legacy Drivers(click on Legacy --> RPC-1) The RPC-1 and SI-24 will be compatible with any ASIO compliant software (e.g. Sonar, Cubase, Logic) that is installed into the operating system that the RPC-1 has drivers for (e.g. Windows XP, Mac OS X 10.4.2). If you are using the SI-24 alone (i.e. no R-BUS connection), then the unit will pass only MIDI control change (CC) data to any MIDI interface--no audio in or out will be available on the SI-24. In this case, compatibility will depend on the MIDI interface's driver that the SI-24 is connected to via MIDI--and not the SI-24 itself. Note: The RPC-1 card and the SI-24 are out of production and no longer available. We do not anticipate M-Audio updating the drivers for newer operating systems.

Hi, Thanks for your help, but it looks like I'm not out of the woods just yet! The RPC-1 driver (5.10.00.46) on the M-Audio site just downloads an empty .zip file. I've found the same driver on the Roland website but it doesn't have a .exe file to run and when I direct Windows device manager to the folder, it can't find a driver there to install. I've even found a 'delta' RPC-1 driver, but that hasn't done anything either. Is anyone able to help me with an up-to-date link, or some advice about where I might be going wrong with my install process? Here are the files that I downloaded from the Roland website if that helps at all! Thanks very much for reading and any assistance that anyone can offer! Peace, Darren

I'm in the exact same situation as Darren; I have the file above, but don't know what to do with it. I have a vm-3100 Pro that I would like to use with me Sonar X2, but I have no driver for the RPC-1 card on my windows 7 system. Anyone out there that could help us would really be appreciated. Phil

It definitely looks like a set of driver files.
They can be installed manually. Open up device manager and navigate to the entry for the device and look at the update driver entry when you've selected the driver. When asked for a file navigate to where you have the above files stored and look for the file that ends in .ini which should be the first one in the list.
That's what I'd be doing anyway. Should only take a few minutes.

This is the one I use with windows 10-64 bit: Delta Series Driver 6_0_8 - 64 Bit Version. go to MAudio drivers-legacy-Delta... when you install, choose the Delta 1010Lt, it will say not compatible, but it is.... select install anyway. this driver is more reliable than the other one, I have had much better results with it. windows 7, 8, and 10 see the card as an R-Bus card, works great! hope this helps.
