Trying to record guitar and vocal at the same time on two different tracks

Hi,

I have a Roland Quad Capture that has two inputs and using Platinum.  I tried to record guitar on track 1 and sing along while recording on track 2 but I track 2 didn't have any sound levels.  I made sure I armed both tracks.  Is there a step I am missing?

Thanks!

Have you set the correct input channel for track 2 in Sonar?
Have you increased the gain on the quad to a sensible level?

If both answers are yes, are you seeing the meter respond on your track in Sonar?
