Not really excited that the FG-Bomber turned out to be a transient shaper, but I'll give it a go and probably think I can't mix without it...  at least for a little while...  until my subscription runs out.

Didn't you listen to Steven?  It's a compressor, a blah blah blah, and a blah blah blah
all in one...

It does do some mojo ...I've put it on some tracks and it definitely makes a difference...
in a good way....

Haven't watched the video yet, but if Steven says it's the bomb... well...

Does it work well in Sonar Platinum?  Someone over on another forum stated that it crashed Sonar.
I currently use the Mix & Master bundle and love it and would like to add this to the arsenal.

* UAD-2, Slate Mix & Master Suite, MJUC, Disto, RC24, Valhalla, etc.
* MOTU 828MKII Black Lion Mod
* SPlat 64bit
* Benchmark DAC-1
* Mackie HR824

I beta tested this for several weeks in both x64 Sonar Plat & Cubase- didn't have any issues at all.

Love it in fact. Instead of just emulating vintage hardware, it's nice to see developers like Slate brew these interesting cocktails. Even iZotope's new Vintage compressor and EQ aren't mere software copies of existing hardware but add creative software implementations.

Just put on a track I was working with in between Ozone Exciter and Ozone Limiter. Nice addition.

I thought it was a variation of an exciter though limited compared to Ozone's.

Notation, the original DAW. Everything else is just rote. We are who we are and no more than another. Humans, you people are crazy.

After abusing it a while, I'm not sure I'm gonna love it. It's kinda irritating that all the presets I've tried have the gain knob turned up to give it that extra bit. I volume match the before and after and I'm not blown away for sure. I think on the drum bus it really helped, sounding nice and punchy. Vocals and guitar were a little underwhelming, but this was a short test on only one mix and tomorrow's another day.

Just got an email from Gobbler saying my Slate subscription will run out in 15 days. It's not due to run out until Feb. of next year. So far...so bad.

I got that same email about 3 days ago...had nothing to do with this update...
But I also haven't been able to log into my Gobbler account, and Gobbler doesn't
really seem to care....

I guess I'm not impressed with it. It seems like those "magic" plugins like Final Mix or the like.

Kudos to Strike, very nice!
But really, I have the FG-X or is it FX-G; whatever...
I use it, I like it, except the wonky crashes trying to save presets.
But SUBSCRIBE to Slate; NEVER!
Not now, not later, no how, no way.
And the best part is, I used to read a thread like this and grab my CC.
Black Friday is near, Black Friday is near; and I don't care!
In fact, I'm off to make some music; RIGHT NOW

T
could be my low t is catching up with me?
nah, I think I'm just saturated with toys, time to use 'em, not buy 'em...
