Direct link to "What's New" in Zeta (the other link goes to main Zeta product page)...

https://www.cakewalk.com/Products/Z3TA/Whats-New

Looks good.

So this is an update for those that own Zeta+2 already, ya? I got it with the X1 Production Suite so I qualify?

Very cool improvements if I'm reading that correctly. I can insert external VST effects into Zeta now? That would freaking rule.

Thanks.

If you have any version of Z3TA+ 2, this update is free for you. If you have Z3TA+ (classic) it's an upgrade available for purchase.

The "Load FX from another program" means you can load the FX from another program within Z3TA+ 2. There's no functionality to add external VST FX into Z3TA+ 2, but you can work around that by simply bypassing the FX in Z3TA+ 2 itself, and then adding VSTs to the FX Rack on the Z3TA+ 2 track.

Ah... I see. So in this sense "program" is referring to a Zeta 2 "program" (as in preset/patch). Makes sense. I just thought it meant I could toss something ridiculous like TH2 in there but that's fine.

And yes... I'm a Zeta+2 owner (due to my Prod Suite purchase) so thanks.

Cheers!

How are Z3ta+2 owners to upgrade? I only see options to "try now" or "purchase."

It may just not have been delivered to you quite yet. We'll be dishing out all the updates over the next few hours, so you should see it on both your Products page and in Command Center well before the night is out.

Thanks for the update

There are a few issues with the z3ta+2 installer on windows.

If you manually install, it doesnt ask for your vstplugins dir and dumps them in C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\vstplugins and C:\Program Files (x86)\Cakewalk\vstplugins

If you install using the CCC, it only installs the 64 bit version.

If you install using the CCC, it only installs the 64 bit version.

1. I'll leave it to someone else.

2. As with all products installed through CCC: Only the 64 bit version is installed. If you want to install the 32 bit version go to the folder where your downloads are cached and run the file manually. During the installation you will be asked to choose 32 or 64 bit.

So...is the Rapture Session download the installer for Rapture Pro? Other than that all i've got is the Rapture 1.2.2.10 download from 11/2014. I'm a bit confused; thought Rapture included in Producer/Platinum was the full/pro version??

the update for Rapture Pro does not work for me , Rapture pro does not start anymore , it even crashes my main DAW also Vienna Ensemble .

deinstalled , reverted back to the previous version again and the previous version works (besides the bugs) , while the new update don´t work .

second question , whats up with this new sound installer ? are they addons and new or are they reworked from the content before ?

very dissapointing to be honest

It was a surprise to see that the Sound Centre sounds were included in Rpture Session, and all the expansion packs I have for it.

This is great - there are certain sounds I have for SC (Taurus Pedals, CP70 etc.) that I still use often, and have had to load 32 bit SC into my projects.  At last, I can get rid of another 32 bit instrument.

Thank you, Cakewalk, it was worth having Rapture Session for this alone.
