CWBRN-41639 : Removing Aux track doesnt remove corresponding sends

Using latest Sonar Platinum Kingston.  As the title suggests, if I remove an aux track the corresponding sources send is not removed.

To quickly see the problem:
Start new project 1 audio track & 1 midi track.
On track 1 : insert send > new aux track
Delete the new aux 1 track
Now if you look at track 1, it still has a send to Aux 1.

To see how this can cause a crash:
Start new project 1 audio track & 1 midi track.
On track 1 : insert send > new aux track
On Aux 1 : insert send > new aux track
Delete the new aux 1 track
(nb. track 1, still has a send to deleted Aux 1).
On track 1: insert send > Aux 1 (which has been deleted)
(nb. track 1, now has 2 sends to deleted Aux 1)
Change the 2nd send on track 1 to Aux 2
... = crash

This example may seem somewhat convoluted & unlikely but it demonstrates the issue clearly.  I fell prey to this bug twice while working on a project with a more standard routing setup but I can't recall the exact order of operations.

Had a quick play with this myself (didn't document an exact recipe, but can do when I get a free moment if anyone wants me to) and confirmed - got a hang and crash also.

I think this is by design. Aux tracks make use of the new patch point functionality, so when you create a send to "new aux track", what really happens is: 1/ a new patch point is created, 2/ the send's output is routed to the patch point, 3/ the aux track is created, 4/ the aux track's input is set to be the patch point you just created.

It was mentioned in another thread that patch points aren't automatically deleted when nothing is pointing to them. Even though you can't see them, they still exist in the project. I don't recall what the reasoning was, but it appeared to be intentional.

The labelling gets a little screwy in this setup though, although I do remember that nothing is actually deleted as such.

The crashes are really difficult to reproduce though. I followed the steps above and managed to get it to crash once, then not again. Then I tried again and did a level or two of undo and it crashed... really intermittent. I've shot Noel a recipe similar to the above on his request so we'll see what he can dig up.
