Terrible slow Kingston download

My normal internet speeds are 75M download and 75M upload speed.  I verified the speeds with Verizon's speed test.  But, when downloading Kingston and all of the current updates using CCC, I'm getting TERRIBLE  download speed.  Anyone else experiencing this...workarounds?

RAWK!!!

Started downloading D-Pro part 1 at 10:00 A.M EST.  Finished around Noon.  Started part 2 and it's at about 40%.  Other websites that I tried this morning are fast...normal.  It's just the Cake download site....this sucks!

I have pretty much the same system as you from studiocat. The kingston patch down loaded very fast, I never bothered with DPRO though. do you have updated windows 10?

Yep, I made sure Win 10 was up-to-date before I started the Sonar updates.  Kingston itself came down pretty quick.  It's the other stuff that is so slow.  At this rate it will be days.  The previous Sonar updates were very fast.

I have terrible download speed and poor reliability, and I do not use CCC.
What I do is I compare what has changed and only download that.

I like how the binaries are split into functional modules.
I got everything new in Kingston downloaded pretty quickly.

But DimPro is big and is taking HOURS!
IIRC, the executable and samples are all in the same bundle.
    The problem is the samples.

I use DimPro with my own samples - never used any stock sounds.
Would it be so difficult if the bakers supplied the bagels and the
seeds separately? Then we can download only what we need.

I too thought "what is going on here, why is this taking so long?" I then read the guff on Rap Pro and realized I was downloading 10GB of samples. I also found it easier and quicker to download and install each section by themselves rather than trying to "install all". Don't know why that would be so ...but.

Yup! When I down loaded Kingston, I just did the update only, and the others 1 at a time. rebooted! I think rebel007 is right! doing in small sections works a little faster.

I started one of the Rap downloads at 5:00 PM.  I went shopping and came back 4 hours later to find it had time out.  This unacceptably slow.

I'm doing one piece at a time.  This looks like more than large content causing the issue.  I suspect Cake has a bottle neck or other issue somewhere.

From past experience it seems the  bandwidth is going to be under demand the first few days a release is out (guess there is only so much scope on the amazon servers), just wait say 3 days from release I suggest in future rather than jump into it. I tend to wait a couple of weeks myself, reading the forums for comments on whether it's a good or bad release and attempt to the access the stability from the feedback we have here.

I had no probs pulling it and tons of large content related to Rapture and stuff down. Seemed to come down within 1/2 hour for me. I copied it from the PC to the laptop thought for the subsequent installs to cut the install time.

StudioCat > I use Windows 10 and Sonar Platinum. I have a touch screen.
I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

Ugh - Slow here as well.  Kingston took about 2 hours to download (normally less than 2 min for something like that).  Rapture Session failed once and is barely moving now.  Come on... a little capacity please.
