Hello Cakewalk Community!

I recently installed Kingston Update. Opened Sonar Platinum, cannot find Monitorizer in FX Chain/Anderton Collection/Processors....However, I did see on my computer in C:/Cakewalk Content/Sonar Platinum/FX Chain Presets/Anderton Collection/Processors/Monitorizer.fxc (315 KB).  This is the only spot I found anything about the Monitorizer...Nothing in the vsts...Now, I don't know if there is supposed to be there either. This is really not crucial to my life or work, but i was just curious to hear it...And it makes me wonder about if the rest of the update installed correctly...(Note: Rapture Session did install I have a new icon on my start page) any suggestion, thoughts, ideas will be much appreciated....Thanks!!

The FX Chain you talk of is that an FX Chain it is not a VST, though it does use vst's and other FX.

To use right click in the FX Bin of an Audio track and click insert FX Chain,
    Select the Anderton Collection folder
    Select the Processors folder
    Select Monitorizer.fxc

I did what you said but i kind of had to search for it (it was not in the presets that popped up==I had to search on my hard drive inside the pop-up window) this whole having to look for it outside of Sonar Platinum seems counter-intuitive and a pain in the ass...right? Why is it not just there under Anderton collection...this couldn't have been the intention (to make it a searching process to use this) and months or  years from now will I remember it's even there? I thank-you Wookie for your help! i would like to know if you or other members can access (probably as designed from Audio effects / FX chain / etc)

Hi. I am able to access Fx Chain from the browser, under Plugins / Audio Fx. Then just drag and drop.

    Best of luck.

Thank-you Zargg71 for your reply! (I also checked out your song "Weirdo" great stuff!--I like hearing how members use all this stuff!) Honestly, after I last posted (the one you replied to) I went back in on my computer (File Explorer) and made a copy of "Monitorizer.fxc" from where it had been installed (see my first post) and pasted it here: C;/Cakewalk Content/Sonar Platinum/FX Chain Graphics/FX Chain Presets/Anderton Collection/Processors---only because all the other .fxc files were here (fuzztastic, motion machine,etc..) and now "Monitorizer" shows up in Sonar Platinum where it should be...I'm just posting this in case anybody else runs into this situation....Thanks again Wookie and Zargg71!!!!

If by search you mean the "Search Function" in the media browser, apparently this function only works plug-ins, not FX Chains. There is another report about it here http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3269776

Yes, you are correct...And I could not get to it that way...I guess the main thing I'm trying to convey is that after the Kingston update--even though the "Monitorizer.fxc" was installed (see first post), i could not retrieve it in Sonar Platinum, and I had to go into "File Explorer" on my computer and copy and paste it manually to another not so intuitive spot (see second post) before it would show up correctly in Sonar Platinum...and it makes me wonder why it hadn't been installed there with the update? Thanks again scook! Edit: I saw your referenced post scook, I guess the problem is known...
