Ooops...no fix needed for Monitorizer after all
I had originally done a "fix" in haste, based on a comment someone else had made. Frankly I did not have time to test it out...I should have...the original Monitorizer is fine as is. In the immortal words of Emily Litella..."never mind."

I also note that the A/B button just mutes is that intended?

Yes, absolutely! Remember that this is a Send effect, not an Insert effect. You could do the same thing by muting the bus (or Aux Track) it's in, but I thought it would be convenient to have the mute on the GUI itself as you would likely be adjusting controls at the same time, and the mute button for the bus might be hidden behind something else.

For folks like me who never RTFM (till I break something), I have nothing to "remember"

For folks like me who never RTFM (till I break something), I have nothing to "remember"
When someone comes up to me and says they had read a manual I'd written, I always used to joke and say "So you're the one! I knew you were out there somewhere!!" But over the years I've come to realize maybe it's not a joke.  I should put "this is a send effect" in the graphics for the GUI. I bet that would be helpful.

Is there some way to get the browser's search filter to find FX Chains like it can plugins? I just assumed I could find Monitorizer by typing it into the search field, which of course comes up blank, for all FX Chain searches. Is there some way to expand Sonar's search range to include everything? Seems strange it doesn't search the FX Chain folders.
Using Google I was unable to find anything so I'm hoping someone knows if there is some secret sauce to tell Sonar that I'd really like it to search the FX Chain folder also.

I have been, but if someone is having a problem with something I created, I really need to address it. As well as address humorous posts by Mettelus (a lot of his posts give me my laugh for the day, so I want to encourage him). And I will post my tip of the week later today. But I've basically not posted for the better part of a week, because I really did need a break...I don't need to be here, so no point subjecting myself to frustration from a few people. But even I wanted to be here more, going forward my time will continue to be limited for at least the rest of the year, what with Pro Reviews starting back up on Harmony Central, and my involvement with Gibson's planning for both CES and NAMM. Nonetheless, when I come up with ways to get the most out of SONAR - which after all, is the purpose of this forum - I will most definitely share those tips, and will try to monitor for questions I can answer.

Just FYI - the Sizzle Bus is a bus effect too. I remember some people thinking it did horrible things to their signal...which it will do if it's an insert effect.

I still very much want to do it, but shortly after floating that idea is when Gibson purchased Harmony Central from Guitar Center. You'll never guess who got an email from Henry Juszkiewicz that said "Well Craig, it looks like you're going to have some more work on your plate." And indeed I did! HC was in quite a state of disrepair and needed a substantial amount of work, but it was a task I was happy to undertake with the rest of the team. Henry had the smarts to mandate that HC remain neutral, public-facing, and independent, which I think is one of the reasons it's mending nicely. But it has cut into my Cakewalk time somewhat...thankfully there are evenings and weekends

I like your idea of a rest Craig. I suppose your idea of resting is going from an 18 hr work day to 16 hours. You rest and we get helped. Works for me. Thanks again just for stuff. Oops! I first hired Dendy in 2000 for MusicPlayer.com. He made the transition with me to HC in 2005 and stayed with it after I joined Gibson. The only reason there was something for Gibson to buy is because of him. He is solution-oriented and solves problems instead of complaining about them.
