SOLVED!Triggering cells in MATRIX view

The matrix view seems to be allowing all incoming  (OMNI) midi channels to trigger cells that have been MIDI learned.
 
I know I can use the MIDI CELL TRIGGER button to toggle off the triggering [small almost imperceptible arrow on TRIIGER button should do the trick] , but it would be logical to have the triggering ONLY be received on one midi channel. Just as your VST can be assigned to be receiving data from one or ALL (OMNI) midi channels...anyone see a way to do this?
