I would like to thank the various plugin manufacturers

For having such crappy deals this year. Honestly I haven't seen anything worth getting excited about and my wallet thanks you. Not tempted to buy anything at all.

I'm laughing because I took every fricking cent I had in my saved pocket change coffee can for the past year to the bank to put into my checking account so I could buy something …
I didn't know how much I had so at the bank they ran it through the change machine and when it was counted it was enough to buy something …Nothing major like Kontak  but something ….
Well folks I still got it

The only thing I came close to considering was The Loop Loft's drum sequencer but then I realized I already have Geist so would probably be of marginal use....

As I mentioned in that other thread - only Cakewalk managed to get my $, and that's because that Rapture Pro upgrade had been on my list forever. Heck, years before it came out, I was hoping that they'd upgrade Dimension and Rapture.

That's the only piece of software I bought in over a year. All my money went on hardware: a control surface, my precious Gibson Les Paul Studio, a bass, and my Marshall half stack.

Quite frankly, I could have spent twice as much on software and it wouldn't have made a tenth of the difference. Took me years but I finally learned that no amount of software compressors or EQ made much difference in the end. At this point, I even prefer to put money on studio furniture than to spend on plugs.

Then the crazy AD2 deal sitting in the Cake store.  Still not sure if it's real or not.  It's the AD2 Custom; 3 AD packs, 3 MIDI packs and 3 kit pieces like we got with X3.  For $39.98.

Go to monthly specials and scroll to the bottom

I'm watching for a deal on BiaB Mega upgrade and K10 ... still nothing for either

I got Retro Keys for EZ Keys ($23.16) and Overloud's Spring Age reverb ($35.10).
That's about all I can afford so I'm happy, but it hasn't been much of a Black Friday to remember.

Yeah, this was a soft BF year, which is fine with me.
I grabbed the Metric Halo CS3 for $34, ROCK! for $14ish and a few Kemper profiles, but that's about it.

I dumped the yearly music allocation $$ on a new bass & guitar pickups, so I'm good with the lame BF sales

It's the first time for a few years I haven't picked up some DAW software or hardware on Black Friday.

Mind you, I did get a rather nice deal on a soundbar for my new telly (from PC World of all places) and an excellent discount on a new Manfrotto tripod to replace my battered and broken one.

I have a Manfrotto tripod that I bought 15+ years ago.  What a tank!!  Love it.

Where did you find a deal on Manfrotto?

Can't go wrong with Manfrotto. I bought mine in 1979 and it's good as new. I was going to get a different type of head but they now cost more than what I paid for the whole thing.

Waves was good to me this year. Reel ADT for $49, this years and last years freebies. They have a great deal on the CLA Classic Compressors, 2 verions of the 1176, LA2A, LA3A for $149. Last BF was the only other time I've seen this package so cheap (and I bought it then) and the H-EQ for $49. It's a great replacement for the Quad Curve EQ if you don't have Platinum.
