I am actually thinking that the Addictive Drum2: Custom was a discontinued item from XLN, but my memory isn't as good as it use to be.

Annoyed and thrilled in one go.
I saw XLN's promo -50% on everything yesterday....and bought two midi-packs.
Now just stumbled upon this thread, got all excited and couldn't resist - Just bought the AD2-Custom as well
Bit annoyed, I could have saved the two midi-packs I bought yesterday.   Oh well......

Yep, The memory has no value. Thanks for the post. If this is current product, I don't think there is much to do but honor it, or tick off the customers.

Well, that I have already paid and they have had my money a few hours and I still have no key, I'm already a little annoyed if not fully ticked.

I guess XLN has managed to collect some extra money (from me and other here)

Regular price is $250, they have 50% sale right now, so today "usual" price is $125. CW shop is far lower then that... but does someone from you was going to send money to XLN today? That definitively was not in my plans

Based on my experience, we most probability get it.

I have to say that in the past XLN have been one of the best software teams I have ever dealt with. It is, however, a Cakewalk issue here and is really up to them to resolve.

If I were a XLN I'd be making apparent 'mistakes' like this all the time on their own site. A sale devalues the product as people may think it's ultimately worth less than it is, and just wait for sales. A mistake however (if honoured... effectively a fire sale) does not make the product lose perceived value, but if enough copies are sold there is loads of money to be made..

Well, I've climbed in for 31 quid's worth. Either I'll get my stake back or I'll get some nice ad-packs (but which ones?..)
I wish they did ad-packs of talent. I'd order a few bags of that.

Just after I bought United Pop too!

Still got this though. However, if it is a mistake and Cake stands to lose a lot of cash, I would be alright with a refund.

FYI, it took two days to get my licence from JRRShop when I bought United Pop

I want to point something out that may be in our (those that jumped)favor.
AD2 Custom is listed at $199 on sale for $99 at JRRShop, which goes down to $84.15 with an account there.

I checked at Audio Deluxe, too, and they also have it listed as reg. $199. on sale for $99.97 which goes to $83.99 with an account.

I have to agree. I paid £31 to Cakewalk for this and it would have been £52 on my Audio Deluxe account. I'm hoping this will resolve quickly - I will be less than happy if I've missed a deal elsewhere!

If I remember correctly XLN tends to provide their codes only during business hours so it will likely be Monday or Tuesday before they show up in your account if they have to provide them to CW.  Looks like a bargain, thanks to the OP for pointing this out to the rest of us.

Argh, count me in too, guys. I wrote to the Cakewalk customer support 3 days ago about it, but I haven't recieved any reply from them yet. It figures their reply will be on Monday when the sale would be over already, so I guess I don't have much choice here other than to try it out and see what happens.

Not yet, Clint.
It didn't occur to me that I was "leading a charge into the valley of BF sales"! LOL
I was reaching for clarity and confirmation and a great deal!
...and now we all are "hangin' out, waiting for the store to open". It's pretty odd, but
I'm feeling confident this morning. I just followed my hunch and those always turn out
well.

I was getting a bit cheezed, too, since I had other drum plugin targets for BF in mind.  Having said that, I now see that the great lead for a sale that bitfipper let us in on (Analog Drums) goes to December 2nd.  If Cake caves on the AD2 deal, I'm heading straight to Analog Drums for a few BOGO sets...

Well done Michael for "leading the charge". I was just about to go with either JRR or Audio Deluxe (I was checking the best dollar to pound conversion) when I came here and spotted your post.

You would think that a product paid for, would still populate in our accounts (I'm sure someone is watching the Cakewalk store) so we could install what was purchased. It should only be a serial number for the xln installer.  I haven't had to wait for anyone else to deliver on Black Friday.
If it's a mistake or error of some kind...say so. Refund my money and let's move on. Things happen.

I was leaning towards upgrading BFD2 to 3 for $64 at JRRShop, when I saw the xln sale there. I came here thinking someone would have seen the "Custom for $39.38" and could explain it to me.

It's a little bizarre to think "what should I get now? and what will be on sale over Christmas/New Years?" I tend to overthink it all! LOL Trying to maximize my purchases.  I've saved up funds for months, with these sales in mind.
I avoid going near shopping areas on BF, so getting just as worked up about this, seems comical.

Yes, Clint. I find it odd that no one is responding from CW or offering any clarity.
Michael

I also saved up for months to add to my drums library - you can never have too many! I am still hoping for clarity here before too long as it's still showing in the Audio Deluxe store at $83.99 but I'm sure it's going to disappear from there soon.
I know that previously purchasing from JRR or Audio Deluxe, it has taken time to receive codes - but they've always been within a 24 hour window. The worst I've had on the Cakewalk store has been "out of serial numbers" which I would have expected if they were waiting on XLN.
It would have been nice to have it to get to grips with over the weekend though.
