Sonar doesn't remember Surface/Controller

Hello, this is possibly a easy problem that I can't figure out?
After updating to "Kingston" I'm having a little problem, the thing that has me stumped is that its "intermittent?"

After working on a Project I "Save" then exit. After the update, the Surface Control (MCU Pro) doesn't seem to be recognized by Sonar? I've never had problems in the past unless I power-on the Controller after the Project is opened. I would go into:

Preference > Control Surfaces > (I would see my Controller) highlight, or "Add new Control Surfaces" Apply > OK

Then the song & Controller would respond as usual. I would "Save" any changes and project, exit.
After powering on, Sonar doesn't respond? The funny thing is the "Faders" would Respond and move to the last position that was saved, but if I tried the Start Button or The Rotory Wheel, "No Movement?" I would see under Preference my Controller??
I would have to Delete the Control Surface, then re-configure the setup, Save then everything works, Save, exit, power down.

Power on and again the same thing would happen? (Version: 21.10.00 Build 30 Kingston -X64)

I was just wondering if I'm not implementing something? I've had Sonar Pro since 8.0 to Platinum, and I've never had to do anything special. Maybe someone else has gone through this before that could help, the Cakewalk Manuals doesn't solve the problem? My System is solid otherwise.

Thank you for the help.

You can try to reset related configuration, find ctrlsurface.dat file and rename it. Sonar will recreate it (you will need to add MackieControl again).

    Hello azslow3,

I did try that (Shared Surfaces) under programs, it didn't work, but thanks!
