Itinere Domus

Here's a classical piece I just finished entitled "Itinere Domus", which
is Latin for Journey Home...

Hello Mr. cclarry, I have been waiting to hear some music from you since I first noticed how often you frequent this place in the software forum.

I'm sorry about the loss of your Mother.  That is a paradigm shifter right there.

This piece is wrought with emotion.  I don't know what else to say except that you made me feel.  Now I am going to log off and go think about things that are more important than this internet stuff, and my feeble attempts at writing music that means anything to anybody, not even the four walls I surround myself with.

I wish for you to find solace in the memories of her that you must most certainly hold in your heart.

And now a tear trails down my cheek.......

    blessings upon you Mr. cclarry

    Jesse

I agree.  Very nice beginning to end.  The contrast with his glyph is interesting too.

Good stuff, Larry. Nice piano playing.

See what you can accomplish when you take a break from collecting plugins and actually use them?

Mix suggestion: a little hall reverb on the violin would not only help it blend with the piano but could also enhance the melancholy mood that's already there in the melody.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

Very nice composition and recording.  If I could ask for anything I'd say a softer touch or more dynamics but it really is a somber, pretty and emotion piece of music.

Here's my two cents added to what everyone else is saying. The melody is lovely. Bit is right about the reverb, the violin needs some.

What I'd like to hear more in this is varying dynamics on the piano. Now it plays a pretty constant dynamic and in a such an emotional piece it would really highlight the melodies. Dynamics is one of the key things for an orchestral piece. I think the piece could really benefit from more dynamic structure.

Not much to add to the previous comments - it's good to hear a piece from you.  The only thing I'd "fix" are those series of short notes around mid-way through.  Otherwise, a little more "breathing room" in the dynamics and mix and IMO this one is good to go.

Nice vibe here, and I'd agree with reverb the violin a tad.

Great composition. Very pretty. The violin sample sounds unrealistic though.
