Problem reports form broken if you aren't logged in.

http://www.cakewalk.com/Support/Contact/Problem-Report

Product and version dropdowns don't seem to be working (values do not populate).
I am using chrome and firebox in Ubuntu Linux right now.

Anybody else (state browser/OS)?

Thanks..

Not sure why this has been moved into problem reports...I'm not creating a problem report for Sonar, this is not fully validated, and this thread was directed towards the Sonar community in order to get this done, thanks for taking away the eyeballs chaps.

This isn't a problem report and should not be in problem reports forum so no CWBRN number. Nor has anybody validated this. Fyi yesterday a host deleted the wrong duplicate thread which I responded to as well... And they moved a software request into the hardware forums leading the OP to contact me about the confusion and host just said .. 'It's hardware' and left it alone. Hopefully normal service will resume soon.. PITA but there are better things to worry about now..

The actual issue is if you log out, then click on the link supplied in initial post the behaviour happens as I describe.
Cakewalk need to revise their code whereby if somebody arrives at the form unauthenticated, they need to be redirected to the beginning and prompted to log into it.

There is another bug. If a forum user has registered and does not have an registered products, those dropdown boxes I mentioned earlier are not populated (bug). The user instead should not have that form displayed and told that they have no registered products.

Hmmm. It's always been that way. Wondering how you're arriving at the page w/o being validated.

Are you still able to easily reproduce? When you do hit the page, do you see "Welcome back Doctor Avalance/Splat/etc." at the top right corner of our website?

Sorry if this is a silly question, but are you starting the form, logging out in a different tab, then continuing the form on an already opened tab?

Bump. Same problem. Win7, Firefox, Chrome.
Only one product in the dropdown menu:

Definitely not the same issue as presented by the OP.

This might be confusing, but it's actually working as intended. We intentionally restrict the list of purchases to user owned products & also products that are not purchased through Steam. In your case I'm seeing all other products (save for the one listed) being allocated as Steam purchases.

There's actually a pretty legitimate reason for not showing Steam products, and it all has to do with the automated processing that goes on behind the scenes for reports that require debugging and analysis for any attached crash files. There's a pretty intricate system behind the scenes for any report that comes through that pulls things into our internal bug tracking system. Allowing reports for Steam products would ultimately result in failure to process the report, frustrating the user, and would break down the automation of fault reports, frustrating development.

Ultimately we'd like to extend some of the automation of this system, but in the meantime we've alerted & enabled our support team to handle reporting for Steam products & products that users do not own via internal tools.

    TL;DR

The form is working, it's just confusing for you. If you need to report a bug for Steam purchases please do so via the respective Steam Community or via our support team. Sorry for the trouble!
