Instrument take over.

I seem to have come up with a problem that  I can only explain it is in the following way:
I have been working on a project with multiple tracks, different instruments, different synths.
Today, after adding an other synth, something happen and no matter which synth I use the same instrument sound
comes out. It is as if this piano has taken over any new instrument I want to use.
What have I done wrong?
How can I make the piano go away?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I think I actually know this one!

There's a little button on the track that's called "input echo" or something. It's a little pink button with some sound waves on it. If that is turned ON then that track's instrument will play no matter which track you're working in. Normally it's set to "Auto", which means it will only play back when it's the active track. I use it on my piano track sometimes, so that when I'm composing I can always hear what I'm playing in the piano as well as the instrument I'm writing for. Is that it maybe?
