Sonar Platinum and EZ Mix 2

Hey all,
I just upgraded from Sonar Professional to Sonar Platinum. I also own EZ Drummer 2 and EZ Mix2. When I finished my download of platinum, I opened it up and saw in my "Instruments VST" EZ Drummer 2. In my audio VSTs though, it does not list my EZ Mix 2. EZ Mix 2 shows up in my version of Professional. Is there a compatibility issue with EZ Mix2 and Sonar Platinum?

Hi Gary, I also have EZ Mix2 which works without any issues in Platinum. You might just try uninstalling EZ Mix2 and reinstalling.....Sonar's scanner should pick it up.

Of note, I have a Toontrack folder (within my Cakewalk VST folder) where all the respective VST's are kept. It makes it easy for me to find a plugin in Plat when searching under the company name.

Just rescanning would be worth trying. Like Mesh said, having things in a folder with other same brand plugs are the way to go; you always know were they are. Even if scanning works I would uninstall and put it in with the other Toontrack.

It's Bass, not Bass.

I have un-installed and re-installed my EZMix 2 and it still does not show up in my Platinum.

It is working here with no problems.

Are you sure you are looking into the right folder when you scan, the folder that contains the ezmix2.dll?

The reason people say the vinyl sounds better is because the music was better.

Are you able to open it stand alone? Is it in Cakewalk then vst? Is it in program files then vst? Where is it? Are you 32 or 64 bit.? If we get some info this can be fixed.

I second what B-Daddy said.....I always make sure a new VST works in stand alone mode/testing it first before trying it in Sonar.
As Mario said, Sonar needs to know the exact location where EZ Mix is being installed.......for any business to work well, it's all about location, location, location....
