RIP Scott Weiland

I've been getting back into Tiny Music recently - one of my very favorite albums ever.
Still, who didn't see that coming...

    Hi,

My old roommate thought that his solo stuff was totally awful, compared to the original band. Still, it's always sad to see talents wilt away ... like flowers in a cemetery!

Music is not about notes and chords! My poem is not about the computer or monitor or letters! It's about how I was able to translate it from my insides!

    Ouch!

What bothers me most is that the media - of all sorts - can't wait to disparage someone - often before they're even laid to rest.

For instance, I just did a google search, and the very top article - you guessed it -

    "Cocaine found on tour bus..."

Happens all the time. Sometimes it takes a few days or so, but it's only a matter of time before someone digs up whatever dirt they can find and then that trumps any and all news about the newly deceased, regardless of their morals, life's work, and any good they may have done or contributed anywhere in any way, shape or form.

Edit: I mean at the end of the day, does it really matter how or why they died?

    Sickening!

Cocaine found on a tour bus???  OMG!  I'm completely shocked!

You would think that by 2015, people would have figured out that cocaine probably is as common as bottled water or guitar strings on many if not most tour busses, and in the industry as a whole.
