Quickscore Elite II 2015

I used Quickscore many years ago to create lead sheets for a church band. I just ran across this announcement and I'm going to DL the demo. It may not be Sibelius but it looks like it has real CC editing and piano roll. Might be interesting.

Sion Software has released QuickScore Elite Level II 2015, the latest version of their music composition program.
QuickScore Elite is comprehensive, integrated software for music composition, incorporating notation, arranging and MIDI and audio editing and recording. It allows the creation of publication-quality scores, musical content for the desktop and world wide web, audio CDs, MP3s and soundtracks for film, video and games.
Changes include:
  • QuickScore Elite Level II 2015 lets you keep multiple configurations of your VST plugins so they can be instantly available at any time.
  • WASAPI exclusive mode drivers are now supported for low-latency real-time recording.
  • Entering and moving notes is simplified by guides that appear automatically to show the position of each beat in the bar.
  • To improve workflow, shift-click and control-click editing is available in all editors regardless of which tool is being used.
  • Zoom buttons have been added to all editors for quicker and more precise visual feedback.
  • MusicXML file creation has been enhanced to simplify sharing with other music notation software.
  • For a full list of new features, please visit www.sionsoft.com/qse2up.html.
QuickScore Elite Level II 2015 is compatible with Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7 and Vista.
The suggested retail price of QuickScore Elite Level II 2015 is $179.95. Registered users of QuickScore may upgrade to QuickScore Elite Level II 2015 for $99.95.

This appears to be a morphing of an old program from Voyetra, one of the first music software companies I had heard of, around the time I started using Cakewalk. Does look kind of interesting re: notation. So many other options now, I have Finale and Sibelius, but don't use either of them that much--Finale would be great, but so much of a learning curve, it seems. At least for me, and I have a classical music background (waaaaay long time ago) :)

I'll check it out. I love the fact that it loads vsts and allows you to edit the piano roll and midi cc. $180 is too much, but I saw on their site that they have crossgrades for $100. If it works properly it's worth $100. I've been using notion which is great, but they really need to add midi cc editing to it.
