Recording to patchpoint/aux track and get slight delay

I have a snare track with an external insert (eq) which plays in sync and trying to record the output to a new track so I can move the eq to something else.  I reset the delay compensation in the EI so it is working correctly and sounds great!   When I record the output  to the new track either as a patch point or as an aux track there is a slight delay in the recorded snare hits.   I don;t think its supposed to do this.  I followed the instructions to set it up.   Any ideas for me?

    NEVERMIND ...  Restarted SONAR and now it works......
