Hey Bajan, do you know either Lance Weiner (Tokai dealer) or Peter Thorn (guitarist extraordinaire)?  They're both in the Cape Town area (and long time members of other forums I'm in - especially Lance).

At no discredit to them. There is excellent talent right here in my area comparable. They still play well after five beers.

St Austell is in Cornwall, other side of the Bristol Channel. One could be lynched in those parts for saying it was part of England, but its not Wales either.

Cornwall. OK, there, I said it. My point was where I drank it, not where it's from.

I was truly using parking meters for walking sticks, and felt fortunate to find my hotel at the end of the evening. At least I woke up in bed the next morning. After a very long night in Innsbruck once, I had no memory of returning to my hotel, but when I woke up, I was fully dressed, sleeping on the floor. Never made it to the bed.

I love that statement, great story humorously told. I just noticed the ABV% on that label!! 11.7%  No wonder you were wiped out.

I was working in the Netherlands back in the 80’s Our work crew moved down to Roosendaal from Friesland. First night out we encountered the Belgian beers in a local bar and launched into them as if they were pilsner. Similar carnage ensued!
