Where are You

I was wondering has there ever been done a study or similar thing which would show what countries are represented on the forum user base. Also what nationalities are represented. I am finnish born and live in Finland currently but no need for all to say these things. Maybe there is like a graphic which shows these things. I am just curious Not trying to make use of this info and don't know IF there are any business models to even use with this kind of info.

There used to be a section for that IIRC, but it's either gone or I've got it filtered out.

Anyway I'm in Scotland (but I'm English)

You can include your location (to any accuracy you want) in your user profile and have it show on the left of your posts, with your user picture.
Many do.

Unfortunately the vast majority do not.

My impression is that the countries most-often represented here, at least by the regular posters, are: US, UK, Canada, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Germany and France. But there's hardly a corner of the world not represented by at least one person.

Me, I'm on the left coast of the US of A. But the civilized part, not California.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

You can click on 'menu' then 'member list' and choose 'location' and see the ones that do.

If I could only figure out how to actually use it (other than just a list for others in here to troubleshoot), it might be something to admire.

I'm usually in The Coffee House or begging my collaborators for their @^#^%$@&*& tracks via email.

But I live in uncivilized Southern California, the decadence capital of the world. Specifically Thousand Oaks, CA. Which is in Ventura County (about 40 miles west of downtown Los Angeles).

I think there are quite a few folks in South America (Brazil mostly) as well but due to language barriers they don't post as much. Must be frustrating.

Makes me wish I understood Spanish/Portuguese a little better (and by "a little better" I mean "even a little"... lulz). Those cats are always so polite with their requests.

Also... Sepultura are from Brazil!!!  BAD ASS!!!!

Good point.  I just updated it, but I'm not sure if will help.  I know I don't any of the German state names other than Bavaria -

Not you, me!
My song thread is just about dead. So I thought this would fail too. Although maybe I am a little impatient. And the current song is not my best although I like it, which might BE a bit narcissistic.
