The Organik Eye Remix and Master

https://soundcloud.com/aaudiomystiks/the-organik-eye

Man in his desperation to save the planet, turn to The Organik Eye-a semi-benevolent alien god-to save themselves. The Organik Eye say's save yourselves...however mankind in their stupidity decide to ask again...The Organik Eye in disgust blows the earth up!

Ben

Thanks Antti, I do...it's partially the reason I don't listen to peoples music here on the forum ;).  I've just hammered out almost 9000 words for a draft towards my thesis...I actually work almost constantly lol...yea I need a life, and probably a wife!

    Hey Ben,

It doesn't matter if your thesis is alive or not. It does not matter how many words is has or not.
What does matter is the song you present to us without any background to it.
We either like it or not. We either put up with it or embrace it.
The organic God is not mind bending. It is just a phrase.
So if I were your teacher, professor, or instructor, I would suggest that there is more to the emotion in songs than a message.
We want to be drawn into your vision. You state your thesis but may leave us wanted more emotion IMO.

So I say that your lesson is done but did you change the world? Was I emotionally moved? No. Do I appreciate what you do ? Yes.

Bottomline is that knowing you are on a path of meaningful creativity, I encourage you to know the defernce between a song idea and a creative statement. I think you are on the left side of that answer so I want you reach as far as you can to emit feeling and emotion.

The phase "Organic Eye" can be very deep. Organic meaning something alive or that was alive.. "Eye" being something that sees or saw something else. So with that, there may be more to the presentation of those ideas than your production. I think there is.

    Best of luck with this.

Honestly, I like this! It's simply a kind of throwback to an early '70's vibe of unabashedly pretentious important epicness. Do not apologize! Blue Oyster Cult didn't, why should you? Spinal Tap knows no regret . . .they just rawk.

I feel like I walked into the middle of some saga with cosmic plotlines I know not - but the music is catchy, the chops are decent, and to suggest anything, I might have the bass guitar do a little more than it's got to do here.

thanks for the retro! sounds good!

Hey Jimmy, thanks for listening...actually this song has nothing to do with my thesis...sorry I confused you...I'm actually researching modernism, modernism and art, film painting, sound art and creating film paintings.  I struggle with emotional stuff...but when I do dig deep...people know.  This was actually recorded in 2005, and written in 2001...I've only got the skills to mix this now.  15 years of work lol.  Thanks though.

And thanks Tom...yea it's my seventies influence...a bit of Justin Hayward of The Moody Blues...I now know that your not suppose to use Gm7, with C...funny how it works though...ah what I know now, and what I didn't then.

Thanks guys...for all my megalomania...I always have doubts.

Hey Ben, sorry 'bout that. I thought this was for your school work!
Without considering that, I like your idea. It should be made into a movie!
