We Need A Recording Engineer To Set Up Our Recording Gear (Anaheim, CA, Area)
I am not sure if this would be the correct forum so if there is a preferred forum to post this one then let me know, and thanks.
My band is looking for someone who would be available to come to our practice studio and set up our recording gear for us.
We have Sonar X2 (or Platinum) and Roland Studio Capture as our software and interface.
We want it set up so we can record with everything dialed in then we could send the tracks to someone for mastering.
I know how to generally record with them "live" in practice but it seems like there is something missing in the "sound" as well as what we hear once the song gets placed on a CD. The song plays at a lower volume even after I have used a few "tricks/suggestions" provided by others so I am burnt on it and realize I should get someone who knows their stuff which will allow me to just hit record for the drummer's tracks, record the bass and guitar parts (with headphones) using bass direct input into the Studio Capture and myself (guitars) with either an AXE FX or an Eleven Rack. The drummer has a drum shield that does help during recording. We were originally recording "live" which sounded pretty decent (Marshall and Ampeg) but thought it would be better to start recording just drums while the bass and guitar record silently/direct.
Mainly set it up to record drums, bass, guitar, vocals, and keyboards.
We would send the tracks out to someone for mastering as well.
We are located near where the 57 and 10 freeway meet (we are about 20 minutes from Anaheim but I used it as a reference for anyone reading the heading). I can provide more details once I know you are interested/available, thanks. Also, if you know of someone that is available to do something like this for us then let me know as well, and thank you for any help/direction.
Mark
