Popping while adjusting Prochannel during playback

Popping while adjusting Prochannel during playback

I get pretty gnarly popping when adjusting prochannel during playback.  Otherwise I don't have many buffer or popping issues.  Is this typical?  Does Prochannel EQ take a ton of resources or something?

    A clue to your audio interface and what driver model you are using, along with buffer sizes etc would help answer your question.  Otherwise try upping your audio latency when mixing that normally helps.

    I have a Yamaha MOX8 keyboard which has built-in USB audio.  Running at 256 sample buffer size. 
     
    I don't see the popping with other EQ's really, so maybe the ProEQ just has a higher latency or something?

    I often will get popping with the pc eq. But it's limited to bringing it up (turning it on). Once it's fully expanded the popping is gone. I cannot eliminate with different buffer settings.

    Hmmmm mine was happening while moving the cutoff frequencies of the various filters, especially the highpass filter.
