probable kicks ahead or other humiliatio
Well, my visit in other forum did not last long either it seems. I put up one song up which I felt had a nice chorus, but indstead of saying the chorus wasn,'t bad or something positive, the feedback was only negative unlike here where the community is nice. Also I was expecting lots more comments. I got about 5.I don't say the forum name in case it is some rule.

People tend to be mean (unless you're praising them) so I usually avoid dealing with them. My roommate's dog thinks I'm great so I usually ask his opinion about my efforts instead.
Time for all of you to head over to Beyond My DAW!

As far as I can see Antti, this is quite a rare little corner of the internet. You will get a lot of back-slapping of course, but also constructive crits from experienced people. Mind you, I've never really investigated other DAW software forums except Presonus. Their version of the songs forum seemed very slow and poorly attended.

You are probably correct. One guy I accused of nastiness is an editor of the magazine that runs the forums, who also mentioned negative things but liked the flute sound. LoL. The song I put up was The Zoo. I knew it had flaws, but the chorus was OK in my books, although there could have been more variation like I admitted. The other guy had an elf avatar and used hth acronym in the ending which is sarcastic so I presume it is used to hurt people. First I accepted quietly the nastiness but when I found out what hth meant I got a bit berserk and charged with style imo. I told them that all are not so gifted and some respect should be given to less gifted people and so.
I just found out that my post failed probably because of the stupid time limit. So I have write again which is not nice becausen I am using a phone.

What do you tell a song reviewer with two black eyes? Nothing, you've already tried twice. Remember kakku, these people only get pleasure out of belittling others because it takes their focus off their own pathetic lives.

I finally managed to tell them what I think about just negative feedback. It can well be that they try to ridicule me or kick me out straight which would not make me sad because the forum feels elitist and not friendly like cakewalk forums feel. Although I have myself said sometimes things that I regret. Sorry for my crazines and reviews that might have hurt. I try to be less annoying although it is the only thing I am great at. But I have a suggestion . how about having to post 2 song reviews for every song that one sends here? It would increase the post in the songs forum. It is in use in some sites. The forum was sound on sound.

I think you're allowed to mention Gearslutz on this forum If that is the forum you're talking about. Maybe it's not. Anyway there's some interesting stuff on there but there are also some real jerks who don't seem to have much in the way of social skills. I defended Sonar in a Sonar bashing thread recently and got attacked by a real nasty piece of work who basically claimed that as a "newbie" I have no right to an opinion and that I should just shut up and listen blindly to a "pro" like him. The egos on that forum are unbelievable, it can be very jarring when you're used to a friendly community like this. I've read threads on Gearslutz where half the posts were deleted by moderators because basically everyone was being jerks to each other. You have guys in their 40's and 50's who turn into 14 year old YouTube commenters as soon as they get online and I think some of them are essentially very unhappy people who use online communities to lash out and project.

The forum was sound on sound. They seem to focus on different things than songs. Do you guys get offended if I put the song up already so you can say what you think about it? My user name was Demo Deke... A bit funny I tried to be with the name. I wonder will they just delete my post and then kick me or what.

I haven't got kicked yet. The other tactic would be to ignore me totally. I put one of my old tunes there again. This time I said I want to hear more of the melody side, which is lacking too but cannot help it. I rolled the dice. I put the tune Damp herring in because it has some drum variations. And I also said to them to try to think of something positive about the melody. Don't know how it goes. Full death grip review or no review at all. I will keep you posted.

Well, it seems I was half wrong although I still think that at least the editor should have said something nice other than , nice flute sound. Well, anyway I believe I can still stay there even though I am not sure how helpful it is to me. I apologized after one editor said that things aren't what they seemed. There was some talk. You can check it if you are interested. That place is a bit wrong to me I fear, but I guess I try my luck there also. But it won't reduce the crazy talk I have been doing in here.
