How to assign dynamic pads to Addictive Drums [Solved]
Hi. I have a Roland A-300 Pro controller and I use Addictive Drums 2. Does anyone know how to assign to the dynamic pads on the controller ( buttons A1 - A8 ) to specific pieces of kit in Addictive Drums. For example button A5 fires the snare drum in AD-2 for me, but I have now idea how this was set and how to change it. I do have the A-Pro control surface installed and know how to re-assign rotaries and faders using ACT learn, but these buttons just defeat me. I have been through the ( quite complicated ) articles on setting up control surfaces, but couldn't find the help I need. I am using SPLAT. Thanks

That's easy! Open Map window in AD interface, choose a sound to tweak and click 'Learn" button, then press a pad you wish to use to trigger this sound. https://vimeo.com/149524340

Alternatively just open the APRO editor load the Sonar midi map from your PC or receive it from the A-300 itself and change the notes for the pads A1-8 and then transmit back to the A-300 suggest using a control map that's not already in use. I have a list of AD2 note mapping to drums but they can be found on the AD2 drum map. I personally use this method as I tend to setup maps for individual instruments and use the pads as toggles as I have written a macro that produces a printable layout for each map which I find easier to refer to when playing.

Thanks to Soundwise for what turned out to be the easiest solution for me to use ( also thanks for the other suggestions in the thread from wereindle and Zarrg71 that I didn't need to pursue ). Finding the Map Window in AD2 was the key.
