Wondering if there are any plans for Signal Flow routing views ?
http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3163639 I had put it in Features and ideas long back. I know its probably not gathered a large vote bank (at least yet), but it will be nice to know from the bakers or Craig if there are any thoughts or work in these lines...workflow and signal flow control in Sonar could go leaps ahead with something like this
************************************************************Sonar Platinum ∞, HP Envy Core i7-4700 Quadcore touchscreen laptop, 16 GB RAM, Windows 10 64-bit, Roland Octacapture, Zoom H6, Akai MPK Mini mk2, Novation Launchpad Mini mk2, NI Komplete 11, KRK KNS-8400, AKG P120

Thanks for that - added my vote. A particularly good idea given the advent of patch points and Aux tracks.

That's great to know Noel, that too when its coming from you who is at the helm of the technological development side of things in Sonar. Now its all up to you to see that something comes about as early as possible this year. Within the 1st or 2nd quarter maybe...can't wait to see full fledged Signal Flow routing control in Sonar with views and switches and the flavors, will be a dream come true for those like me who want rapid scenario analysis, which is not just A/B-ing but A/B/C/D/E......-ing

Of course Noel's given some thought to it. That's part of his job description: thinking about features that competitors do better and devising strategies to answer them. But another part of his job is resource management. He doesn't work at Microsoft, doesn't have thousands of developers or a budget of billions. He's got to focus the company's efforts on those areas that are going to yield the best bang for the buck. A Reaper-style routing matrix just isn't a critical feature, merely a nice add-on that some users would find useful but most would ignore. That said, I'd love to see it happen. It's the kind of geeky feature Cakewalk used to be known for, and that Noel & company probably secretly wish they could spend more time on. They'd do a killer job on it, I'm sure.
All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to. My Stuff

ok ok Noel... I was just being very enthusiastic and all excited about the idea possibly getting real soon. The matrix layout could be a good conceptual starting point for the Signal routing view. But then its not a Reaper-style matrix that I ever imagined here. I consider that far too primitive compared to the standards of routing control that Cakewalk could possibly achieve going forward, which could turn out to be lot more than just an add-on. As far as using or ignoring is concerned, that applies to pretty much every creation on planet earth. *******************The fire of creativity begins with a spark of imagination*******************
