Mouse not working on transport module
I've recently installed Sonar Professional (Windows 7 64, i7 ). Although I don't recall having this problem when I first installed, now my mouse won't click on anything in the snap module or the transport module, like start, stop tempo, etc. The controls aren't grayed out, it's just that nothing happens when I click with the mouse. The tools module and other controls on the control bar work just fine. Any idea what the issue might be? Thanks

Very odd. Do any of the controls operate by using keyboard shortcuts? For instance, clicking 'n' should toggle Snap to Grid on/off

Yes, "n" toggles snap to grid, "w" rewinds, and "Space Bar" makes it play, but the mouse click does nothing to the snap and transport modules. I haven't customized any of the keyboard shortcuts. ???

Do you have an audio interface correctly set up in the preferences?

Yes, as far as I know, but I'm barely beyond beginner level for understanding all the settings. The audio recording and playback seem to work fine. I'm using a Presonic Audiobox with the ASIO driver.

Try a restart of Sonar and or a reboot of Windows.

This is very odd. After a reboot, now the change tempo window works, but nothing else in the transport module. And now, neither the tool module or mix module responds to mouse clicks. I tried a different wireless mouse with the same result. Unfortunately, I don't have a wired mouse handy to test with that. Hmm

No trouble with other apps? It almost sounds as though there's a mouse setup problem. Some devices change their profile for different apps. Yes, it's strange.

Try replacing the mouse battery maybe? I dunno its a really weird problem. Or try unplugging the mouse USB receiver and then plug it in. Interested to hear if the other apps on your PC are working correctly.

I was having the same problem. I've uninstalled and reinstalled sonar. It didn't change anything. I also tried a wired mouse and replacing the batteries in my wireless mouse......still no change. Then I found a thread about changing the text size to the smallest setting. IT WORKED! I'm using windows 8 so I right clicked in my desktop and went to resolution, changed it to the smallest setting.

This is the only reason an older thread should be bumped. Great info, thanks for sharing that with us. Regards, Chuck
