Better go Behringer X-Touch way. It is checked to be Mackie compatible.

There was several reports QCon Pro is not so good with Sonar. There is modified MackieControl plug-in which at least can work with it: http://forum.cakewalk.com/Custom-Version-of-Mackie-Control-Surface-Plugin-to-use-the-QCON-m3092979.aspx

I also thought about X-Touch. But I can get only if it is available on Amazon.com with Prime tag. Currently unavailable. They takes care of the import duties nicely.

Sonar is NOT listed in the compatibility list by the manufacturer.  It MAY work or partially work.  Best to avoid this.

If you can't get the new X-Touch model, the BCF2000 (which I have) is Mackie and Sonar compatible.
